Outlander: Top 5 Moments of 3×08 of “First Wife”

Whew, Outlander fans. I know that’s not the most eloquent of words, but it still feels accurate to describe the feeling I had post-watch of “First Wife”. It was the episode I’d been dreading as a book fan, because I knew that no matter how it was done here on the show (fantastically, as per usual) it was still going to hurt when Claire learned this particular truth about Jamie.

Outlander: Top 5 Moments of 3×07: “Crème De Menthe”

Outlander, every Sunday I keep asking myself if one day you will cease to amaze me, and so far I’m happy to say absolutely not. This hour was a return to form from last week’s amazing slow unfolding of Jamie and Claire’s perfectly acted and written reunion.

Outlander 3×06 Review: “A. Malcolm”

Well…that was one hell of a reunion, and entirely worth the wait, Outlander fans. There wasn’t a second where I didn’t feel like I was constantly holding my breath, watching Jamie and Claire interact for the first time in twenty years in the infamous Print Shop, in “A. Malcolm”But I am getting ahead of myself, I fear.

Let’s start at the beginning, shall we?

Outlander 3×05 Review: “Freedom & Whisky”

In case you’re wondering, yes, I did want a whole bottle of whisky after feeling my heart burst at the end of this week’s Outlander. I mean, holy shiitake mushrooms! Pardon the weird phrase, but this week’s Outlander was an exercise in amazing character writing, including the best mother/daughter scenes I’ve watched on TV in years from Caitriona Balfe and Sophie Skelton, and dang, that Scottish accent of Roger’s is still as attractive as last week.

Outlander 3×04 Review: Of Lost Things

Outlander is the kind of show that, when you finish an episode you initially think: words just aren’t enough. That’s how I felt this week, but I’m going to be articulating, anyway, because this episode deserves it. For the first time this season, we saw Brianna and Roger with Claire in 1968 Scotland, picking up where the season two finale left off in trying to track down Jamie’s whereabouts for the last twenty years, two centuries back. That’s a mouthful I don’t think I’d ever type, but let’s dive in shall we?

Outlander 3.03 Review: “All Debts Paid”

Pardon my language, Outlander fans, but holy hell, what an emotionally twisting rollercoaster!

“All Debts Paid” exceeded any expectations I had, and shot them through the roof. If I ever thought the third season would lack a gut punch per episode, I regret even doubting this show for a second. Catching different parts of a life, through different centuries, is not an easy story to tell. Outlander, however, succeeds at finding the little moments, even as years pass, without making you feel like you’re missing anything important.

So why don’t we dive into it together?
