Outlander is back and all feels right in the world. Well, it would, if I didn’t want to punch that thieving bastard Stephen Bonnet in the face, but let’s not jump ahead here.
Pardon my language, Outlander fans, but holy hell, what an emotionally twisting rollercoaster!
“All Debts Paid” exceeded any expectations I had, and shot them through the roof. If I ever thought the third season would lack a gut punch per episode, I regret even doubting this show for a second. Catching different parts of a life, through different centuries, is not an easy story to tell. Outlander, however, succeeds at finding the little moments, even as years pass, without making you feel like you’re missing anything important.
So why don’t we dive into it together?
Outlander fans, a sneak peek has recently been released — courtesy of TVGuide — and I have to say, Jamie is the only man who can pull off literal chains from the side.
Two words exited my mouth when I finished watching the Outlander premiere, ‘The Battle Joined’: Good Lord. To be fair, it’s a phrase I often use when I witness something that doesn’t seem to have words that match an experience. Frankly, Outlander’s season 3 premiere was less an hour or so of television, and more an experience through Jamie and Claire’s eyes.
We did it, Outlander fans! This Droughtlander has been long and painful, but we braved through it and season 3 is finally upon us. Tonight, we will finally get to see what happened to Jamie and Claire after she went through the stones, back to her own time, and how they have fared for those long and lonely twenty years without each other.
